Healing Dreams - Part Three

So how can you turn this pattern around with awareness?

Stress is closely related to our patterns of thinking and habitual patterns of behaviour. So, when we become ill, a good place to start the healing process is within our dreams. And this is where the power of healing dreams comes to the fore, because a dream is a mental construction; a series of thoughts, wrapped in symbolic images and projected within consciousness for us to explore in a different way. As if we are onlookers, or observers, rather than as participants.

For this reason, when we examine the symbols in our dreams, we can often see things from a new perspective. We are reminded that, while we can identify with them, we don't have to own our beliefs and habitual unconscious behaviours. They are like masks, or suits of clothing we can put on and take off. If we are aware.

When we become ill, it is possible to visit a special place within our dreams where we can be treated. We can even pre-program ourselves before we go to sleep, to visit such a place within our dreams. Such a dream, may involve a visit to a dream hospital or a dream medical clinic. We may undergo some form of treatment regime, surgery, or the like. What is happening in such dreams is that our inner being is framing a message for our day-to-day consciousness.

Such a message is couched in symbols that can be readily understood by the waking consciousness. Everyone who has ever been sick and sought treatment at a modern hospital recognises the common symbols associated with such places. When a dream hospital appears within our dreams, it is instantly recognisable as a hospital because it is wrapped in a visual symbol we all understand.

If life is a dream scenario played out by the soul within this reality, then life is a healing dream of the soul.
